Germany has an old Christmas tradition with some of the most beautiful melodies.  While Santa Clause rewards well-behaved children with gifts and chocolate, Krampus, a horned creature with hooves is believed to punish those who are naughty, by putting them in a sack and carrying them away.  I was raised with this myth and as a kid me, my brothers and sisters were really scared of Krampus. Later it turned into a fun scare.
